Yoganomics and Nature

Nature has a way of balancing itself out. You can too.

Good day everyone, isn’t it beautiful outside? What do you mean NO?

I was the type of person who decided how my day would go as soon as I woke up. Everything I was either dreading or excited about was already at the forefront of my mind, and there wasn’t really much I could do once the decision was made. Funny some of the phrases that become idioms. Forefront of the mind, early bird gets the worm, stop and smell the roses. What happens in vagus stays in vagus (No, that isn’t a typo. ChatGPT has no place in this world either, in case you were wondering. I’ll explain that one later).

You can’t nail down a headstand without a strong foundation, and a key component of a sturdy base is equal weight distribution. In other words, balance. If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything, right? There’s another one!

If you’ve been on the internet in the last ten years, you’ve probably seen the video of how wolves being released in Yellowstone actually restored balance to the ecosystem over time, naturally. How can that possibly be so? I mean, look at every other ecosystem on the planet. There are apex predators, prey animals, insects and millions of different plant species that all seem to coexist in perfect harmony. Both above ground and underwater.

How could millions of different species all fit together so perfectly, just by design? Divine intervention?!

Don’t worry this isn’t about God. But if you just think about it for a moment, how could that be? I’ll tell you one thing, outside of a few cases, I’ve never seen a rich family of polar bears kill all the black bears just for fun. I’ve never seen a lion with a beer belly. Mother Nature operates on natural instinct, every species has a role to play and no one is greedy. Humans included, didn’t you know? Not a greedy soul on Earth. We consume responsibly and give back to our community in our daily lives. We view our species, though some look differently, as equally valuable to the world.

You know what I have seen, a dog with a spine so bent of out shape he couldn’t get off the ground. Ribs poking through, stuck laying on his side. The meanest dog I had ever seen, I was ten feet away behind the door and I can’t describe the pain in his eyes. That dog must have been terrified. Maybe these humans are messing up the…..nevermind.

Have you ever seen a person with poor posture? Stuck in their old ways and beliefs? Fear controlling every move? Just over a year ago, I could barely get out of bed due to lower back pain. My neck was craned over like your favorite streamer, and I was addicted to doomscrolling. No wonder I was miserable…I can stand up and look around again. There’s nothing behind me anymore. I am at peace today.
